Personal Trainer Testimonial Template

Word of mouth marketing has always been an important part of your personal trainer business success, if not the most important part. The power of a personal experience, shared by real people who've benefited from your service, is enormous.

Asking for testimonials and reviews is an easy way to share proof of your awesome service but asking for them always seems to stump some personal trainers,. Especially PT's new to the industry.

7 Testimonial Questions

You've probably been asked several times to write a testimonial or a review for another company you have used for a particular service and you'll probably notice that the testimonials you're more inclined to write come with instructions.

That's because being faced with a blank page is down right cruel. If you give your clients nothing to go from they have to put mental effort in to opening a dialogue from nothing.

So, naturally, providing your clients with an easy to use personal trainer testimonial template will make the whole process much simpler, easier for the client and get you way more kind words than you bargained for. Here are the big 7 questions to ask your clients to get great testimonials:
  1. What was the problem you needed to solve?
  2. Why did you choose the business you did?
  3. How did they solve your problem?
  4. How was their solution unique?
  5. What did you particularly like about their approach or delivery?
  6. How would you summarise the experience as a whole?
  7. Would you recommend the business to others? If so, who?
Notice the questions are asked as if they were coming from someone else and not you. This helps the client to disconnect and step outside of the business to think a little more objectively.

Make It Easy

Now that you have some great questions to ask for testimonials, you need to deliver them in an easy to use format so that your clients can complete the task easily. Delivery of your testimonials page can be done in any of the following ways:
  • Paper form - literally hand them a piece of paper with the questions on and ask them to fill it out. Be sure to do it there and then otherwise you risk the client losing the testimonials form or simply not filling it out.
  • Website form - Have the questions as a form on your website. This option is great if your clients are happy to go online and fill it in for you. You can simply send them a link and let them crack on in their own time.
